Privacy policy
The short version: there is nothing to sign up for and nothing to submit, so we hold almost nothing about you. A search sends a ZIP and what broke, we do not sell personal information, and we run no advertising or analytics trackers.

Written by the operator, not by a lawyer
This policy was written in plain English by the person who runs this site, not drafted or reviewed by a lawyer. What it describes is accurate: what a search stores, what we hold about a listed business, and that a removal request at /listings/remove is honored within 72 hours. None of it is legal advice. Do not copy it for your own business or rely on it for a legal decision. Get your own counsel.1. Scope
This policy explains what Fixadore ("Fixadore", "we", "us") does with information when you use this site, and what we hold about the businesses listed on it.
There are two very different groups here and they are treated differently, so the policy is split accordingly: visitors, who search the directory, and listed businesses, whose details we compiled from a public register without asking them.
2. What we collect from visitors: almost nothing
There are no accounts. You cannot sign up, sign in, or submit anything, so there is no profile, no history and no password.
When you search, your ZIP code and the trade you picked appear in the page address and are used to run that one query. We do not attach them to you and we do not build a profile from them.
We do not sell, rent or share visitor information, because we hold none worth sharing.
Cookies and analytics
No advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, no third-party analytics. No Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no session recording. The site loads nothing from an ad network.
We do count searches, and it is worth saying exactly what that means because "analytics" usually means something worse. When a search runs we store one row holding the service, the ZIP, the metro and how many results came back. That row has no identifier of any kind: no cookie, no account, no IP address, no device fingerprint, and nothing that links it to any other row. Two searches from you are two unrelated records, and there is no way to tell they were you. We keep it to see which services and places people ask about and, more usefully, which searches come back empty, because an empty result is a gap in what we have imported.
If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, there is nothing here for it to switch off.
Server logs
Our web server keeps ordinary access logs: IP address, the page requested, and the browser user-agent string. They exist to keep the site up and to stop abuse. They are not joined to anything else and they rotate on a short cycle.
3. What we hold about listed businesses
This is the part that matters, and it is unusual enough to state plainly.
The businesses on this site did not give us their details and did not agree to be listed. We compiled them from public state license registers, which the issuing authority publishes as a public record. For each listing we hold what the register publishes: trading name, license number, classification, issue and expiry dates, status, city, ZIP, county, and the phone number on the register.
What we deliberately do not publish
- The street address, even though registers publish it. A license address is very often a sole trader's home, so listings show city and ZIP only.
- Email addresses. Some registers publish them and some withhold them by statute. We display none.
- Anything not in the register. We do not enrich, cross-reference or infer personal information about the people behind a business.
What we never do with it
We do not contact listed businesses. We do not email them, call them, or pass their details to anyone who will. We do not sell, rent or license the compiled data, and nobody pays to be on this list or to rank higher on it. Several states permit publication of licensee data while restricting its use for solicitation, and we do not solicit.
4. If you are a listed business
You have two rights here regardless of what your state's law grants, because they are the right answer either way:
- Removal. Ask and the listing comes down, for any reason or none. Use [/listings/remove](/listings/remove). We honor it within 72 hours, and removal survives every future import of that register: the row is flagged rather than deleted precisely so a refresh cannot bring it back.
- Correction. If a detail is wrong, tell us and we fix it. We cannot change what the register itself holds: if your record at the board is wrong it has to be corrected there, and our next import picks that up.
No account, no fee, and no justification required for either.
5. State privacy rights
Depending on where you live you may have rights to know what is held about you, to have it deleted or corrected, to opt out of sale or sharing, and not to be treated differently for exercising them.
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act or any equivalent state law, and we run no targeted advertising.
To exercise a right, email hello@fixadore.com with "Privacy request" in the subject. There is no account to verify you against, so tell us enough to identify what you are asking about. We respond within 45 days and can extend once by a further 45 days where a request is complex, with notice. If the request is about a listing, [/listings/remove](/listings/remove) is faster.
6. Children
This site is for people running a business. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
7. Changes
Material changes are reflected in the date at the top of this page.
8. Contact
Privacy questions, requests and complaints go to hello@fixadore.com. If your business is listed and you want it corrected or removed, [/listings/remove](/listings/remove) is the faster route and needs no account.
Previous versions are kept and available on request from hello@fixadore.com.
